This privacy policy spells out: the information that Meeting Toolchest collects; how we use that information; how long we retain it; and the users rights to be forgotten. We also cover how we protect the users information and other matters concerning data privacy.
Privacy Statement
The following privacy statement defines our undertaking in respect of individual users of our web-based services. We are committed to protecting user privacy. Meeting Toolchest uses information we collect to operate, maintain and provide the user with the Meeting Toolchest service, and to improve that service by means of: analysing use; diagnosing service or technical issues; maintaining security; and developing new functionality.
Parliament has created specific offences for unauthorised actions against computer systems and data. We will investigate any such actions with a view to prosecuting and/or taking civil proceedings to recover damages against those responsible.
What information do we collect?
For general users of our informational web pages we collect no PII information. They are free to browse the site anonymously.
For users who choose to subscribe to our blog or bulletin information, we collect their email address and name.
What do we use the information for?
Where users have subscribed to one of our information services, we use their name and email address solely in order to send information to them efficiently when it becomes available, as per our confidentiality clause.
How long do we retain the information provided?
Names and email addresses are retained for only as long as the subscription service is required. These are deleted from our system when a user unsubscribes from the information services.
Right to be forgotten: Users are forgotten at any point they unsubscribe from the system.
