In the article on  Influencing Options we looked at the importance of questions to develop and maintain ownership within the meeting.
This brief section is intended to provide a short list of example questions which can be used within a meeting to nudge it in the right direction and maintain the flow of the meeting for the group:
  • What is the purpose/objective/process for this?
  • How are we feeling right now? ..about the last hour?
  • What is actually going on here?
  • What are the potential upsides & downsides of this?
  • What is the decision we are trying to make here?
  • What information is necessary to make this decision?
  • Who is likely to be affected by this and how?
  • What other options should we consider?
  • How can we be sure that… ?
  • Are we ready to move on from this point?
  • How can we improve the way we are working?
  • Should we take a break at this point?
